You can’t help but say “Nebbiolo” with an Italian accent. Best known for its starring role in Barolo or Barbaresco, Nebbiolo originates from the Piedmont region of Italy and is named for the fog (nebbia) that rolls over the hills of northern Piedmont. However, this wine won’t leave you foggy (unless you drink too much of it!) with its rich chewy fruit flavors of raspberries with hints of chocolate and licorice. Medium bodied it pairs well with rich or meaty tomato sauces. Take one home to have with your next pasta dish. Salute!
